Lets face it, we all have good days and bad days. Maybe you mixed up your colours with your whites in the washing machine. or maybe you put petrol in your diesel car….. or maybe, just maybe, you accidentally deleted someone else’s website.
That’s what 123-reg did during its “clean up” of its VPS (virtual private server) that hosts a considerable amount of websites. The firm, which is on of the UK’s largest hosting providers – boasting 1.7 million sites, have not published the actual numbers, but have stated that of its 800,000 customers, only a “small portion” have been deleted.
The advice to its customers would be for customers who have a back up of their websites, to restore that data, the tech guys at 123-reg have published an article for those who need to restore their website which can be read here: https://www.123-reg.co.uk/support/answers/How-to-rebuild-your-123-reg-VPS-5130/
